THE RESIDENCY MODEL

The residency model offers the freedom, time, space and support to leverage the power of an interstice — a tiny gap between boundaries in nature, media, architecture, science, literature, time — to allow potential to arise, to be creative, to produce novelties, and to take bold steps.

THE VENETIAN WORKSHOP

A first program of the Academy focused on developing intangible skills for 21st century pathfinding while staying grounded.

Our program began as a response to the global mental health challenge but we soon learned there were also questions of adolescent maturity, the skills mismatch, and increasing concerns over ROI for industrial education including degree churn and completion rates. Many of these variables are also impacted by the polycrisis of modern society and are exacerbated by questions over institutional integrity. These same challenges face adults making other transitions in life.

Named for the flagship location in Venice, the first singular location with its unique life example and outstanding artistic value.  Soon to be followed by Brussels, a successful model of multifaceted coexistence.
